About
I am able to offer management advice  for all your tree needs, whether it be urban, rural or within the development context.

I spent 20 years in the Forestry sector, working up from Forest Craftsman to a fully qualified Forester.

I worked for the Forestry Commission for many years both in the lowlands and uplands and as such, have managed conifer stands and Ancient Woodlands.

I spent 10 years working with the Research Department on experiments that led to research notes on plant handling , cold storage of bare root stock and optimum mound size for ditch and dollop planting amongst others.

After a 2 year stint managing Blue Gum plantations in Australia, I returned to the UK and began my career in Arboriculture.

I then spent 8 years as a Local Authority Tree Officer in the Planning Departments of South Kesteven District Council and Peterborough City Council. Whilst undertaking these roles, I completed my Tech Cert (Arbor A) qualification.

As  a Tree Officer, I determined applications to work on trees protected by TPOs  and Conservation Areas, managed both High Hedges and Hedgerow Regulations and acted as professional advisor on planning matters relating to BS5837 development submissions.

Part of the role also involved surveying Council owned trees and managing works thereafter.
